review 1: I am certainly no expert on Socrates' but this an easy book to read. It will reasonably inform you of the man much beyond simply readings of Plato's dialogues,; and you can do so with very little effort. Because I know very little of Socrates I do not have the right to give a thorough or critical analysis. However I certainly enjoyed the book and will leave the analysis for the more informed. Now on to Plato and Xenophanes
