review 1: I have no idea how to review this book. It was extremely bizarre and at times grotesque. The basic premise is that a woman is preganant with her third child. She freaks out, and leaves her family and goes on a slutty, wild road trip. This book has some very vivid..descriptions. There are lots of smell descriptions, including the main character who says she, her husband and a bunch of other people smell badly. There are several unbelievable, ridicolous situations, one in particular that involves farting, and just a lot of other odd and gross descriptions. The main character is an extremely unlikeable person, who I could not relate to in the least, yet there was something about this book that kept me reading it. Indigestion perhaps?
review 2: This was a diff
... moreerent kind of book. Sonia, pregnant with her third and unexpected child, has had enough of motherhood. She leaves her husband and two kids and does everything you're not supposed to do - drinks, smokes pot, has extramarital sex - and doesn't apologize for it. This story is not the typical motherhood/pregnancy story, and while I really, really wanted to love the premise, since there's enough Sanctimommy stuff out there, I ultimately couldn't find Sonia likable, and at times the story felt disjointed. We never really get in her head, and the ending felt very quick and "tidy." less

Very interesting subject matter, loved the honesty of it, but could not abide the writing quality.
