review 1: Let me just say, I did not have high expectations for this book. I saw the good ratings, but the whole stepbrother/stepsister thing was kinda weird. I needed a break from bikers and super bad boys (because trust me, Elec is still kind of a bad boy), so I gave it a try. Oh my goodness, I loved it, so much that it got added to my "favorites" folder on my kindle, which is kind of a big deal. It was so much more than I expected. The anagrams are what got me :)
review 2: I think I would have given this five stars, if I hadn't disliked the Elec and Greta so much. The writing is fantastic and despite not liking the main characters I still wanted to keep reading. Elec is a self absorbed momma's boy the whole book, and he treated Greta like a dog ninety percent of ... morethe time. I understand he was a naive teenager in the beginning, but as an adult his behavior with her was even worse. I can't respect a woman who lets a man treat her like dirt because he is "incredibly hot" and "drool worthy". Really??? The fact he missed his son's birth to visit his mom, speaks volumes in itself. Why doesn't your mom come visit YOU, so you don't have to leave your VERY pregnant wife?? Yep, not of a fan I this guy at all, and Greta is too stupid for words. Despite all this, I actually really liked the book,and the authors writing style. She tied everything together flawlessly and I will definitely be checking out more of her work in the future. less
