review 1: I simply don't know where to begin with my review, but I want to keep it short and sweet. This was by far the best book (fiction) I have read in many, many, many years. It had action, suspense, a little violence and love/romance but not too much.Pepper did a fantastic job at fleshing the characters out. I only wish she touched on Kim's relationship with her next friend, Arnitra. I know she was trying to protect her, but her humanity would not have allowed her to stay away from without at least some explanation.I truly could not so reading it. Every opportunity I got I read this book. I stopped answering the phone I became so engrossed. If I wasn't reading it, I was thinking about when I would be able to get back to it. This is definitely one I'll gladly recommend. Happy r... moreeading!
review 2: This has to be one of the best IR vampire novels, so far, that I've read. The pacing at the beginning I felt was perfect, it was slow and enticing, but pulled you in. I loved Kim as a heroine; she is sure of herself and confidant, but not to the point of cockiness. Which brings me to a very well written love square Kim Russell is involved in. All three men have something special that gravitates you to them. The ideas about vampires were very intriguing, not far fetched and not conventional. I'm just really intrigued to read the next book, to get the questions answered that have been left at the end of the book. less
