review 1: വായനയിൽ ഉടനീളം പെരുമ്പടവം എന്ന എഴുത്തുകാരനെ ഞാൻ കണ്ടില്ല ...കണ്ടത് ദസ്തയേവ്സ്കി എന്ന അലസനും അസന്മാര്ഗിയും എന്ന് സ്വയം വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഒരു മധ്യ വയസ്കനെ ആണ് .. തന്റെ പ്രണയങ്ങൾ ഒരു തെറ്റായിരുന്നോ എന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം തന്റെ പതിവ് നിഷ്കളങ്കതയോടെ ചോദിക്കുന്നു .. .ശരിയാണല്ലോ പ്രണയം ഒരു തെറ്റല്ലല്ലോ .... more.. ദസ്തയേവ്സ്കിയുടെ ഭാഷയിൽ പറഞ്ഞാൽ"ഇഷ്ട്ടം തോന്നുന്ന ഒന്നിനെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നതെങ്ങനെ പാപം ആകും".... തന്നെക്കാൾ ഇരട്ടി വയസ്സുള്ള ഒരാളെ പ്രണയിക്കുക എന്നത് നമ്മുടെ സങ്കൽപ്പങ്ങൾക്ക് ഒരുപക്ഷെ വിരുദ്ധം ആയേക്കാം ...പക്ഷെ വായനയിൽ എവിടെയും ആ വ്യത്യാസം നമ്മളെ ആയാസപ്പെടുത്തില്ല...ഈ അലസനും കുടിയനും ആയ മനുഷ്യനിലെ കാമുകനെ അന്നയെപ്പൊലെ നമ്മളും അങ്ങീകരിക്കും .....ഞാനും കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ട് ഇതുപോലെ ഒരാളെ എന്റെ വഴികളിലെവിടെയോ എന്ന് എനിക്ക് തോന്നി, അത് ഈ എഴുത്തുകാരന്റെ വ്യ്ദഗ്ദ്യം തന്നെ ...(radhika)
review 2: The life of dostoevsky, his thirst for gambling and how it ruins his life. Its great book to read. One of Perumbadavam's must read book. When life is going nowhere and there is time line for his work, if dostoevysky could not finish the book in time, afterwards whatever he wrote, he will not have any right for it. At this situation, Anna came to the life of Dostoevysky and how she keeps a question. Can she fed him with love that no one given him soulfully, and be side of him. Can she ignore the love of a person whom she loves from childhood for a love from Dostoevysky who at age of more than 50. This makes the most well written story in Malayalam language. After reading this book it takes me to read russian classic's written by the Dostoevysky. less
