review 1: I am reading the book Reality Check in class. The book is about a 16-year-old boy named Cody who is serious and very talented at football and has a beautiful girlfriend named Clea. They got out of school for summer and Clea got sent away and eventually Cody broke up with her because of distance. Cody was playing football after and broke tore his ACL which would hinder his football scouting career. I think that Clea will have a roll on the rest of this book because she was a big roll in the beginning. I rate this book highly because it actually made me feel like Cody was feeling and is very descriptive.
review 2: The book reality check is a realistic fiction book in which a star quarter back cody and his girlfriend clea find out that clea has to go to a differen
... moret school, testing their faith in each other and testing the strength in their relationship. The author’s purpose for writing this book was to show that no matter how far away or how many obstacles you meet love conquers all and prevails over everything when it feels as if all else fails. Cody stays faithful even with Clea lost in the woods and another girl trying to get with him. He keeps his cool and stays with his girl showing that he has a strong heart that won’t let him hurt the ones he loves. The author states cody tears his ACL mid season during a football game and can’t play again for the rest of the season, but he still works out and perseveres in order to get himself strong again to try to get a scholarship for college, which shows the author also shows strong characters that never give up inside realistic situations such as sports and relationships. less
