A Week In The Life Of A Primary School Teacher- Inspired children!

Every Sunday (hopefully) I shall be posting a personal post about my life as a primary school teacher. I currently work at a primary school teaching Year 2 (6-7 year olds). My training posts on this subject were really successful and so therapeutic for me, therefore I’ve decided to continue posting on the topic. I will not be naming any children, or the school where I work. If personal posts aren’t your thing then feel free to skip these posts. I won’t mind! Bookish goodness returns as normal Monday-Saturday!

I have absolutely loved this week with my class! The week started off really well with our book launch of Journey by Aaron Becker. I don’t know if you’ve heard of this book, but it is a book with no words. Just gorgeous illustrations.

I ‘read’ this book to the children this week making sure they put some ideas into it. They were so excited to make up their own words in the book. Straight away, I was impressed with the sentences they were coming up with orally. It makes me very excited to start writing their stories in the week after next. Having such a fun and successful start of the week set me up well for the rest of the week!
