review 1: The New York Times were right to award the Pilot and the Little Prince as one of the best illustrated books in 2014. So much poetry in the drawings of Peter Sis - they both tell the story of Exupery's life and show us how he became the person who could write The Little Prince. The excitement of flying, the beloved loneliness of the desert, the desperation of living in the US and not speaking the language, the love of story telling and keeping up the fantasy of child. A true homage from a great master to his inspiration.
review 2: This was very interesting. I learned a lot of new facts. However, I felt like it was very cluttered...almost too cluttered...with information. I felt that at times the text at the bottom of the page was supposed to be read first before... more reading all of the little tidbits on each page, but then other times when reading the text at the bottom, I didn't understand the information because I should have read the scattered information first. Still, it's a good biography and would be great for lovers of THE LITTLE PRINCE. less
