Jeeves
review 1: Not one of the best of the Jeeves stories - with a weaker plotline than some of the earlier comic masterpieces - Jeeves has an argument with Wooster and leaves his employ , while Wooster , ever the helpful mate, attempts to sort out the problem of the love affair that is being hindered (by Various obstacles) of his friend Lord 'Chuffey' - Chuffnell and Pauline Stoker - while taking up residence on his friends' family estate in the process - hilarity ensues - but one that I do not think could have stretched to a full length novel such as this one. A little too thin for my liking - and I think it shows! One for the fans only!
review 2: I remember reading an anecdote told by someone I can't remember in which someone I can't remember was quoted saying about a "Best
... more 100 books of all times"-list that it was being "silly, since P.G. Wodehouse has only written 98 books". In addition to not remembering any details, I don't know if it was a true quote (or if P.G. Woodhouse actually wrote 98 books). But it's a nice fun story anyway I think. His books would not be alone on my "best ever"-list, but they are undeniably very funny and readable and this one is no exception. less
