review 1: I'm definitely not a huge non-fiction reader. That said, this was a fun, well written non-fiction book. It was a great, easy, summer book club read. Phil explains how his family came together and he got started in the duck call business. He reveals that though everyone was cheering him in one direction, he didn't want to be what they wanted him to be. He put everything down and followed hard after his dream, using his natural gifts, doing what he was good at and loved. He made it work. He became the American dream. It was definitely a great little read!
review 2: This book is an autobiography about phil Robertson's life. It outlines his life as the original duck commander and tv star. It tells about his rough childhood up until he is a founder of a family busin
... moreess. He was offered a spot in the NFL to be a quarterback, but his passion was duck hunting. He went through a rough patch in his life-drinking too much, fighting, and messing up his plans. until he gave his life to God and his life was turned around. I like this book because it gives more information about the Robertson's life than the tv show does.I Recommend this to anyone one over 10 years old. less
