review 1: I liked this book. A lot. It was set in basically my own backyard which made it a "fun" read, if you can call it that. Caputo definitely knows something of our border issues/problems, and as far as many of the characters are concerned, I've "met" quite a few of them since living in Arizona. However, I was very much disappointed in the ending. That said, it's still worth reading but I would have given it a higher star rating except for the conclusion that was not.

Good, but lacked the raw power of some of Caputo's others, like Rumor of War and Acts of Faith.

Although the book seemed all over the place at times, I really enjoyed the read.
