Book of the Order
review 1: Enjoyed this first installment in this series. Sorcha, Merrick & Raed seem very real, with their own talents, their own fears, the good and the bad shining through. The use of magic and the Order that uses it to protect humanity is well organized without a lot info dumps to throw you out of the storyline. There's some romance, some mystery and some excitement at the end to pique your interest. I've already requested the other books in the series, and can't wait to see where this story goes!
review 2: I bought this book about a year or so ago, hunting for any new books I could get my hands on. I found this and noticed it was written by Pip Ballantine, who was a co-writer for another book I owned but hadn't read yet. I figured that the synapses sounded interestin
... moreg enough and I always like having more then one book series by someone so I picked it up. Since I hadn't read the other book yet I wasn't quite sure what to expect. After reading the book she co-wrote with Tee Morris I quickly picked this one off my shelf and ate it up. It was odd getting my mind to think of Deacons and Arc Abbots with magic, but I loved how interesting and unusual it made the story. The addition of a Pirate Prince didn't hurt my love of the story either. I can't wait to pick up the next book! less
