review 1: I won this book through Goodreads First Reads. My interest in entering for this book was because I had previously read author, P.S. Meronek's, book "The Joshua Effect" and really enjoyed it. "Stay Another Night" is usually a book I wouldn't read, but the small introduction of the book sounded good when it spoke of a Mafia Boss being one of the main character's. The book talks of a young, aspiring actress, named Coco, who makes her start as a stripper. She is very focused and headstrong in knowing what she wants and what she is looking for in life. She meets Sam Spielman, the elusive Mafia Boss, who controls everything he touches and invests in. He falls in love with Coco and will do anything to keep her safe and protected from his mysterious mob dealings. The book is well ... morewritten and keeps you wondering what will happen next. Although this isn't the type of book I would read again, I would highly recommend it for any reader who enjoys a good mystery/love story!
review 2: I did not enjoy this one at all. Completely unbelievable characters and very little plot. First, this was predictable; after the first 3 or 4 chapters it was clear that Sam was going to be "involved" in Coco's father's death. Then nothing happens for another 3 or 4 dozen chapters, then the heroine believes the first story she hears about her father's death (told to her by a real scum bag) then she believes the next story she hears, and blah blah blah. Oh well, read and learn. less
