review 1: **Received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review**I was so happy to have been able to start off right where Mr. Black left off. Mr. Black is so mysterious and sexy that you wish you could be Scarlett Red.Scarlett had a secret that she did not want to divulge. She never wanted to relive what she went through when she was 13 years old. Three years have passed since she last saw and spent a night of passion with Mr. Black and she never saw or heard from him again -- it took three years! When Red's aunt signed her up to a singles retreat at Martha's Vineyard, Red was not happy about it, but she really did need to distraction so she went.Little did she know that Bash would turn out to be Mr. Black (Sebastian). She found him to have very strong features of Mr.... more Black but Mr. Black didn't want Scarlett to know it was him. He knew who she was but he wanted to find out everything about her. What was keeping her so guarded and why did she not turn up at their place of meeting after their one night of passion. You will learn a lot in this story. You'll get to find out Scarlett's secret, Bash's secrets and the intense passion they have for each other. They dance around a little on if they will end up getting it on or not, but when they finally do -- boy do they ever!I loved the whole mystery this book entailed. It really had you going and you wanted and needed to find out what was going on. Who was after Scarlett and why. How Sebastian was able to be there to rescue her. I think that you'll enjoy this series as much as I have. If you like mysterious, sexy, dominant novels, then look no more -- this is definitely the one for you!4 stars for this book!
review 2: I thought the first book was amazing, and it was. I was hoping this second part in Sebastian and Talia's story would be on par with the first, and it was, even after taking place a decade after their initial meeting. I was hoping they'd find each other and be happy, but there will be another book featuring the both of them, which makes me happy to know their happy ever after has only been delayed, not canceled. The story picks up years after the missed meeting at the coffee house. Talia is now a writer and is being forcefully sent on a break. She encounters a man on her way that reminds her of Sebastian, but he doesn't have his beautiful two different colored eyes, so she just thinks he reminds her of him. Plus she had chemistry with Bash, the pilot, even if she was trying to fight it, and he wasn't letting her.I liked the mystery and intrigue aspect of it. I wasn't expecting it, but it had my heart in my throat. I enjoyed how seamlessly it fit with the flirtation Talia and Bash the airline pilot had going on. There were a number of moments when I thought there was more to the mystery because I wasn't able to put all the puzzle pieces together, but when the identity of the culprit revealed I was shocked and impressed because I certainly had not seen that coming!Besides the chemistry Talia and Bash shared, there were other revelations surrounding the past I was happy to hear, and some not so much. The kicker though was the big surprise at the end of the book. I don't feel like it's a true cliff hanger, but it will definitely left me wanting to read the next book right away, and it's not even published yet! less
