review 1: this book is my new all time favorite. this is not your average, girl falls in love with boy and everything works out fine and everyone lives happily ever after book. it has a real story, with real characters, with a believable plot line. although I would have thrown in a few curse words because I wouldn't have been able to stay as calm as Claire in some situations. I LOVED the story of Claire's home life as well, with her baby brother, and her mothers condition in the beginning to how much she grew and changed into her old self. It's really an amazing story with many depths other than just boys and kissing. I felt like I could even relate to Claire during some parts, it just really hit a homerun for me!
review 2: This book just didn't click with me. I found th
... moree voice repetitive & at times, boring. The emotional stakes in similar novels have been so much better established that I just didn't get invested here. Also, I know it's a small thing to most people, but I cannot stomach any YA that portrays a relationship between a minor & an adult, particularly one that's an authority figure, as consensual and okay. That small plot point is so dangerous and disgusting, and it's not okay with me. less

It was a quick teen read and started off well, but the climax and ending was too rushed.
