review 1: I first read this around a year ago wait was that TWO years ago o_O? OH MY! Well anyways I loved this book and really connected to Allie. This book was practically perfect and is one of my favorites it made me laugh, cry and a whole lot more it was just full of those evil things known as feels which as many people know are just plain cruel. Well I continue to ramble, I "recently" read it (two months ago :D) and shall have to read it soon so I can write a proper review.
review 2: Another good book from Zondervan Publications. Allie is a girl who is caring for her dying mother. She is dealt another blow when, a few hours after her mother's funeral, she is sent from Tennessee to Maine to become the daughter of Miss Beatrice Lovell, a prim woman with a faith Allie
... morecannot accept. The time period is before and during World War II. I think the bigger problem Allie is having is trusting to love again after the death of her mother. I would highly recommend this book to Jr. High and High School students. less

Typical, slightly cheesy Christian fiction. Wish we could have another breakthrough in this genre.
