review 1: Dominique is the type of man who doesn't like to ask permission for things he's the one that tells you what to do, "Dominique's head tilted, like that of a feral cat inspecting it's meal. "I mean to make you my wife." He can be a bit snippy at times, "no, Isabelle, it seems I'm out of sorts today. I meant for you to pick a horse, but if you'd rather a night tossing in the hay with yours truly, by all means, don't let me stop you." He's not very imaginative when it comes to naming things either, "yes, well, it isn't too hard to understand. The horse is named Horse. Lovely name. Descriptive, straight to the points, no confusion as to what the animal actually is..." He also doesn't like being interrupted, "oh, believe me, love," Dominique winked. "You were helping. Care to he... morelp some more? Cuppins? Go away. My wife has it in her mind to be helpful. Who am I to deny her such a simple request?" I loved this book I always loved fairytales so anytime an author puts their own spin on it I love to read them.
review 2: Okay, so I'm a sucker for a good Beauty and the Beast. I hadn't read the first book in the series, but I just couldn't wait! I read this in one sitting and I loved every bit of it!From the start, the pacing is great. Some books take forever before we get the first H/h interaction, but we got that right after the prologue. The pace continues perfectly- slow enough to develop and flesh out our wonderful characters, but not slow enough for the reader to lose interest. That being said, I loved Isabelle. She is intelligent, courageous and has a huge heart (and at the same time, somehow sets herself apart from all the other regency heroines. huh!). The Dominique-Hunter bromance aids an air of levity that I personally appreciated as well. I'm not much of a music person so the underlying musical theme didn't resonate much, but I still found it beautiful. All in all, a great book! Definitely worth the read- I can't wait for her next fairytale! less

Good adult "Beauty and the Beast" story. Heart-warming even tho highly improbable. I enjoyed it.

Easy read but too plain.
