review 1: 3.5 stars This is a very sweet regency romance with a fairy tail theme. I liked it a great deal but felt it jumped from the prologue to the main story too quickly with no back story on Rose for Stefan's time away. There were a few other places too that I felt it was not a twist but a change that could have been better organized. But I enjoyed Rose and Stefan together especially once the two started to relax in front of each other but I felt too much of the book was setting up for the next story rather then really living in this one.
review 2: So this is a twisted retelling of Sleeping Beauty. More exactly, twisted retelling of Grimms's Sleeping Beauty or Little Briar Rose. Rosalind aka Rose, a noblewoman suffer from sleeping disease. Stefan is the heir of a
... morenoble family who'd lost after his ship wrecked. He and and Rosalind bound in bethrothal by the curse that force them to get married. They refuse to marry. Then one by one member of their family died or suffers from deadly disease. Stefan had to persuade Rosalind to marry him before the curse take their beloved.I agree with whoever add this book to the Humorous Historical Romance Listopia. Dialogues of stefan and Rosalind is really funny. I enjoy the story. But I have to admit that the storyline is quite ridiculous and the author needs to add some details to make the historical background more imaginable. less
