Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children
review 1: Hollow City by Ransom Riggs is a book describing the journey of Jacob, a teenage with an extraordinary talent. This book is the sequel to Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children and takes place in war torn London. Jacob and his band of other peculiar children have just escaped there homeland due to an infestation of monsters trying to harm them. The book follows the children on their adventure to save themselves and their world that is crumbling around them. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a book including adventure, struggle, redemption, and even a little romance. If you like the first book you will surely enjoy this tale of courage, deception, romance and suspense.
review 2: I really love these books. I thought the first one was a bit b
... moreetter (I re-read it before reading this one), but mostly because I was so taken by the format at first and it was a bit more enchanting when I wasn't as sure what to expect. Also - this one ends in a cliff-hanger and isn't as good at standing alone, and that takes away a bit for me. Overall, though, I think Riggs is a first-rate storyteller, and will definitely keep reading. less
