review 1: *Looks at the cover*Me: Ooooh I Me: I think I'm in loveMe: I think my heart has just sprouted wings*Reads the book*Me: Um, sometimes.... books can begin slow and boring.Me: But the pictures!!!Me: Actually I'm getting bored.*Reaches 2/3 of the book*Me: Okay beauti-fAL!!! I cannot evenMe: Okay okay okay I like this*Finishes book*Me: Okay I need Hollow City like right now............I think the last 1/3 of the book made up for the boring first 2/3. But that ending is a cliffhanger. And well, cliffhangers work on me 99% of the time.
review 2: The book was surprisingly good, just a bit confusing. I think there were to many characters you need to remember to know who's doing what and when. The time passes a bit to quickly in the book, but that doesn't really matter.
... more It's just my opinion. I adore Emma and Jacob, their characters are really lovable, just like all the peculiar children. Miss Peregrine has a lovely character, too. The pictures make the book feel even more real. All in all it's one of my favorite books. Enough mystery, enough fantasy, so all I need. :) less

I do wish Bronwyn was Bronwen but otherwise, a peculiarly good story.
