review 1: "Once you experience a thrill in your life, the same is never experienced again, however hard one tries to" is the central theme of a very highly acclaimed Gujarati play "Kahe koyal shor machaye re" by the legendary playwright Labhshankar Thaakar (a ardent follower of Samuel Beckett's 'Absurdity theory')... Recreating the magic, through the sequel of a bestseller book or a Movie is the toughest thing under the sun... Anyway, a honest attempt by Ravin... Penguin indulges with the climax...
review 2: I read this immediately after the torturous, pathetic book named 'Few Things Left Unsaid' by Sudeep Nagarkar. I immediately fell in love with it. Ravinder Singh's writing, despite being colloquial, is still of a standard way above Mr. Nagarkar's. Due to it being much
... more better in comparison than the book mentioned above, I completed the book soon and did not manage to notice any flaws. However, later, when I read Ravinder's first book - 'I Too Had a Love Story', I realized the drastic depletion of emotions compared to the first book. The first book made me cry at least a couple of times. Although the setting of this book was emotional, it didn't have the effect as the first book. Also, the self-glorification part of the story could have been trimmed down a touch. The SMS conversation part, also, could have been narrated instead of showing the actual messages containing SMS lingo. Despite all these cons, it is still a decent book. The description of the Belgium weather from the hotel room was especially captivating. A good one time read.. less
