review 1: sweet but pretty predictableI loved the beginning of this book. It started to fade shortly after they started having sex. Once they started getting after it the storyline seemed to lose intensity. I'm also all about some scenes of passion but once it started in this read that seemed to take the first priority and the plot became tiresome and overall pretty boring to me. I almost didn't finish this read. that being said I will still read more RE Butler books in the future.
review 2: I am not big on giving reviews, and just now getting “barely comfortable” doing it. I hate, hate, hate not being able to give four or five stars to authors; I can’t even begin to imagine how hard they work. I have read all of her “Wolf’s Mate” series with the exception ... moreof her latest one, and I have enjoyed every one of them. However with that being said, I am debating on whether to continue with the series if it continues in this direction. Please understand that this isn’t a bad book, but for myself personally, I have a mind-set of what a shape shifter book should be about. Not mates who are fairies which sprout wings, conjure up doorways into another realm, or a garden gnome with a bad attitude who goes around kicking our big strong alpha in the shins. Huh? What?? Wow! This book took a total 360° turn for me from what I am use to reading from this author and this series. I could not, no matter how hard I tried, get invested in these two mates. It just didn’t work for me and I vacillated back and forth over 2 or 3 stars, because I really like Ms. Butlers books. less
