review 1: Callie & The Cats is R.E. Butler's third book in her The Wolf's Mate series. Each book can be read as a stand alone book but the book does feature characters introduced in the previous books so to get a better understanding of the characters, you might want to read the other stories first. I personally read the series out of order and had no problems enjoying the books.In Callie & The Cats, Callie a wolf shifter, decides to leave her current pack and head out on her own. On her trip away, Callie gets into a car accident and meets cat shifters Ethan & Eryx. R.E. Butler creates an interesting shifter world where the males lions are sweet & caring while the female lions are selfish &*@#$. Anyway, I found that plot interesting and did enjoy the story. Definitely recom... moremend!
review 2: I loved Callie in the first book in this series and I knew there was more to her then what we had seen, so I was super excited to see her get her HEA. This book is by far the "naughtiest" of the series so far (I have read six) and because of that, it is not for everyone. I personally had a difficult time with her mates being brothers and just tried to pretend they were friends. The culture of the mountain lions was so unique to any of the shifter lore I have read and I adored it! I will be reading more from her mountain lions asap. This book is unique in this series because it is sort of a spinoff to the author's mountain lion series. less
