I know, you know, that the songs you hear on Music Monday can and will get stuck in your head.
I will not apologize for this action.
I recently finished the TV series Psych, a comedy-drama (dramedy) about a hyperobservant ambitious slacker (is that a thing?), his friend who haplessly follows him from case to case, and the Santa Barbara Police Department, who employs him based on his “abilities.” I don’t think there was a single episode I didn’t like, and in eight seasons’ worth of episodes, that is impressive.
The list of Shawn’s nicknames for Gus is equally impressive.
Not only was the show fun, addictive, and perfected both original episodes and parodies, it also proved that there is such a thing as an “ambitious slacker.”
It also had a catchy theme song.
For this week’s Music Monday, we’re going to go back to 2006 to hear a song that will undoubtedly get stuck in your head, but really make you want to sing along. This week belongs to The Friendly Indians, and their song “I Know, You Know,” which served as the theme for Psych.
In between the lines there’s alot of obscurity, I’m not inclined to resign to preventing earworms…
I told you the truth, this song is catchy!
Happy (Music) Monday!
Go on, share it!
