2018 Golden Globe Awards: Presenters Red Carpet Wish List Part 2

We are getting closer to this years Golden Globe Awards. The first televised red carpet of the year! I am really excited to kick off awards season, and really intrigued to seeing what this red carpet will bring. The black gowns are going to be EVERYWHERE, I am really interested in seeing what the stars will do this Sunday night with their black gowns on the red carpet. I feel like I have said it several times I am cautiously optimistic about what they will bring. A sea of black gowns can be boring, but I am aware that doesn’t have to be the case. The beauty, shoes, and jewelry are going to be the real stars of the show.Christina Hendricks is one who loves black on the red carpet, so it wouldn’t surprise me if she steps onto this red carpet wearing a really great black gown. She is good friends with Christian Siriano and has worn his designs several times in the past. It was a no-brainier when it was announced that she was going to be one of this years presenters that I would immediately head to his collections to pick the perfect gown. Christina has beautiful curves and Christian knows how to dress them. I think that for the Golden Globe Awards red carpet that this black one sleeve Christian Siriano Pre-Fall 2018 gown which features an asymmetrical neckline, fitted bodice, flared skirt, sexy split, and a train would make for a really modern glam moment for Christina. Christina often goes for 40’s and 50’s style silhouettes for the red carpet, so this would be a really great change of pace for her. A romantic updo, smokey eye, red lip, black Christian Louboutin ‘Follies Strass’ embellished pumps, and a pair of Tiffany & Co. tsavorite and diamond tassel earrings all would ensure that Christina has a major moment on this red carpet. Emma Watson is one of the stars who I was surprised to see on the list of presenters for the 2018 Golden Globe Awards. Ahead of the nominations announcement it seemed like her critically acclaimed performance in the live action remake of Beauty and the Beast. So when the nominations came and went and Emma didn’t receive a nomination I was shocked. I am excited to see what she will bring to this red carpet. As an activist for female empowerment it would SHOCK me if Emma wore anything other than black on this red carpet. In addition to her work as a feminist activist Emma is also all about sustainable living, especially when it comes to her red carpet wardrobe. Emma loves vintage, so I went to this amazing black vintage Giorgio Armani gown from the 1980’s which features dramatic ruffle details. I can imagine that Emma would definitely take this gown that screams 80’s on the red carpet and make it a really modern moment on this red carpet. Styling it with a sleek updo, kohl rimmed eyes, a light pink lip, black Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Charline’ gold heel sandals, and a vintage 18k gold and diamond Cartier collar necklace would really make it a major moment on this red carpet. Halle Berry loves black. So I think that we will definitely see Halle rock the Globes red carpet wearing a really great black gown. One of Halle’s favorite designers to rock on the red carpet is Versace, and so I decided that I would go back to the brand for her to wear for this red carpet. I looked back on all of the moments that Halle has worn on this red carpet, and there has only been one that I have actually loved. The rest were all worst dressed nominees. I think that this black Atelier Versace Spring 2015 Couture column gown which features sheer beaded panels and an asymmetrical plunging neckline is something that would be a perfect option for Halle. The sheer panels of this gown just scream Halle to me. It is the perfect meshing of glamour and sex appeal, and that is exactly what I picture Halle delivering best on this red carpet. Simple styling including a sleek updo, smokey eye, nude lip, dazzling Chopard diamonds including simple winged earrings and a statement cuff, and a pair of black Jimmy Choo ‘Betty’ crystal embellished strappy sandals all would ensure that Halle shuts this red carpet down.Isabelle Huppert was last years Golden Globe Award winner in the category of Best Actress in a Movie – Drama and will be on hand this year as a presenter. Isabelle quickly became one of my favorite ladies to see on the red carpet last year with her many varried, and sexy moments on the red carpet. For the Golden Globe awards I would love to see Isabelle really deliver a very sexy moment wearing this black Armani Prive Fall 2017 Couture long sleeve gown which features a sheer 3D embroidered lace bodice and a velvet column skirt with a center split. I totally see this as something that Isabelle would bring to life on the red carpet, and with the black gown protest I think it would be an absolutely beautiful moment. Black stockings, a pair of black Manolo Blhanik ‘BB’ pumps, chic waves, a defined eye, red lips, and diamond and sapphire Chopard Red Carpet Collection pendant earrings all would ensure that Isabelle delivers an absolutely beautiful, sexy, and glamorous moment on this red carpet. Kelly Clarkson was one of the biggest head scratching names that was announced as a presenter for this years Golden Globe Awards. I don’t know of her staring in any films, judging any competition shows, or being the star of any soundtracks so I don’t know why she will be on the red carpet. I am hoping that she delivers something really chic on the red carpet though. For the American Music Awards we saw Kelly wear 3 custom Christian Siriano gowns over the course of the night. I would love to see him and her collaborate again for this red carpet. There are so many stars that Christian usually dress that are going to be on this red carpet I wonder how he is coping with the black dress code. I wonder if this black, grey, and purple floral embroidered organza Christian Siriano Pre-Fall 2018 gown which features an off the shoulder portrait neckline and an a-line tiered skirt would fit the bill of the protest. It does come across as more purple-grey than black, but I feel like there has to be a little more wiggle room for stars to play with this unofficial dress code. The gown is such a statement that I think that I think that old Hollywood waves, a simple defined eye, pink lip, simple black Casadei ‘Blade’ pumps, and a pair of gorgeous diamond and emerald David Morris earrings would all ensure that this is a perfect look for Kelly’s first Golden Globe Awards red carpet.I usually adore seeing Sarah Jessica Parker on the red carpet, and I am really hoping that when she steps onto this red carpet this year that she redeems herself for the Vera Wang disaster from last year. I think that if Sarah delivers this black and gold Elie Saab Fall 2017 Couture ball gown which features a cold shoulder bodice, a full skirt, and beautiful beaded embroidery would help her do just that. A ball gown for the globes is usually reserved for nominees, but I think that this circle skirted gown on Sarah would be a real glamorous moment, so I decided why not? I think that a pair of her own black SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker ‘Marquee’ patent leather peep toe ankle wrap sandals, a chic high bun, smokey eye nude lip, and a pair of vintage 18kt gold set Cartier diamond and onyx button earrings all would ensure that SJP has one of her best red carpet moments in recent years.

The 2018 Golden Globe Awards will take place on Sunday January 7, 2018.
