review 1: Okay, if you know me very well you know my dream character would be a hybrid between Mr. Darcy and Capt. Jack Sparrow. I have to admit I went into this book with low expectations and I was wrong... I loved it! (There isn't much Sparrow there, but definitely more intriguing side of Darcy.) It was delightful and fun read. There's one scene in particular that makes the entire book worth reading even if you aren't into pirates.
review 2: What a fun book. It starts with Darcy, two weeks after Elizabeth Bennet turns him down remembering with pain those words she shot at him. He is so distraught over her rejection that he lets his appearance go a bit and ends up being arrested when the law assumes he's a dangerous pirate. This leads him on a crazy overseas ad
... moreventure where he becomes Captain Smith looking for wanted pirate criminals. Meanwhile, Lizzie's trip to the Lake District had to be cancelled and she instead goes to visit her cousins in Sicilly. On the way home her ship crashes, and she gets rescued by Captain Smith himself. Now Lizzie gets to fall in love with the real Mr. Darcy, the one without too much pride. This is a really fun "what it" spin-off that I thoroughly enjoyed. less
