This song was written by Leon Russell. It was one of the songs he wrote for Apple Records employee Chris O’Dell. Chris O’Dell was dating Leon Russell at the time. George Harrison later wrote the song Miss O’Dell for Chris O’Dell. Pisces Apple Lady was recorded by Leon Russell in 1969 and was released on his debut album Leon Russell in 1970. Pisces Apple Lady was released as the B-side to Delta Lady in the UK in 1971.
