review 1: Fun and entertaining action drama. There are elements of Lethal Weapon, Bourne Identity, and some Jack Ryan and Colombo too. Throw in a bit of romance, and an interesting story, and you've got a fun novel. I didn't realize this book was part of a series until about half way through, which I think is a testament to the author. This book stands on its own just fine. The characters are well written, and even though things get a bit over-dramatic here and there, I still found it a fun read.
review 2: I could not get into this book. I'm less than halfway through and haven't felt rushed into picking up the rest. I find it a little slow going and for some reason I've had a hard time keeping up with whats going on in the book. It might be due to not being interest
... moreed, since it really doesn't seem to be a confusing book, but whatever the case, I think I might wait a while before picking it back up and trying it again less

Great mystery. Will have to pick up the other ones in the Sean O'Brien series.

I really enjoyed the book although parts were somewhat macabre.
