I have a bad habit of sometimes of getting stagnant with my listening and only checking out rap and emo music and Ibeyi was a welcome change to my normal listening. I won’t try and genretize this album so as not to insult the musicianship needed to create such an eclectic project, but the dance elements as well as the pop and R&B elements made it fun and easy to listen to, allowing myself to break up the monotony of my normal listening.
