In a move that reinforced their stance in holistic welfare of Hallites, the elected Hall Officers, led by the Health & Environment Commissioner, on Saturday, December 9, 2017, mobilized Hallites to wash the water storage tanks behind each Block.
Despite the very low turnout, the exercise was effective and completed just in time for the regular Saturday sport activities, after a crate of soft drink and snacks was donated by a resident of Block C.
Addressing the AAH Press, the Commissioner explained that washing the tanks was aimed at preventing the spread of diseases. He appreciated the donor of the snacks and pleaded for better participation in the future. ‘The exercise aimed at clearing the tanks of dirt, to prevent waterborne diseases.
The exercise was a success, as all thirteen tanks were washed. I encourage all Hallites to show up for any exercise that has to do with health and environment’ the commissioner said.
