review 1: La storia perfetta per entrare nel clima natalizio. Una lettura che è riuscita a coinvolgermi e stregarmi totalmente, fin dalla prima pagina. L’autrice ha delineato dei bellissimi personaggi, in particolare la famiglia O’Neil: i nonni, la mamma e i fratelli, ma anche tutti coloro che sono entrati a far parte del loro mondo per poi restarci. Come Kayla. Capisco le sue paure e quanto possa spaventare una felicità tanto improvvisa quanto inaspettata. Chi potrebbe immaginare che il momento in cui ci sentiamo più soli e vulnerabili possa essere invece quello che ci cambia la vita? La magia del Natale forse stavolta non c’entra: quello che è ancora più speciale è l’inverno del Vermont, le sue montagne innevate, i paesaggi da fiaba, il lago ghiacciato, la foresta ch... moree circonda gli chalet di Snow Crystal. Un luogo magico, che tutti vorremmo poter vedere e vivere di persona. La storia è romantica, tanto che sembra una favola: a Natale tutto può accadere a Snow Crystal. Perché il freddo è solo fuori, e tutti coloro che vi abitano hanno cuori caldi e appassionati. Non importano più i trascorsi dolorosi, il passato che bussa alla porta con il suo pesante fardello: anche il ghiaccio più antico può essere sciolto. Una storia d’amore e una storia di una famiglia, che tiene in gran conto i legami, tanto importanti e di cui tutti abbiamo bisogno, soprattutto a Natale. Una storia dedicata a tutti coloro che hanno ancora voglia di sognare. Assolutamente da leggere!!
review 2: First time I have ever read Sarah Morgan and I am so glad that I did! Boy can she write the sexual tension between her hero and heroine. After I finished reading this book I just wanted to visit Snow Crystal. Morgan's voice has this amazing ability to take the reader right into the setting and really think they are not just reading about this town but actually visiting it. I was completely immersed in her description of Snow Crystal right along with her characters. Jackson was the perfect hero, charming, hot, tough yet sensitive. Kayla was uptight and at times I wanted to just scream at her! It was fun watching Jackson just charm her right out of her ice queen facade. While I loved Jackson I can't wait for Tyler's story! I love arrogant guys getting knocked down a few pegs when they find love so I can't wait to read what Morgan has in store for him. Until then I will be checking out Sarah Morgan's other books and have no idea why this is the first time I am reading her! I can't recommend this books enough and it is the perfect one to keep you warm on your next snow day :) less
