My review:
I will keep this short. there is nothing much to say about this book besides how disappointed I am. I hated everything about this book and I only managed to read all of it because I loved the first book so much.
First of all, before you even start reading you have to look at that ugly cover. I don’t think much thought was put into the covers or the story as well. The covers of the two books don’t even look like they have anything in common besides the author’s name.
Nemesis ended with Tarik and Sepora engaged even though Sepora is still mad at Tarik. I get it I would be mad too. It looked like he was only marrying her because of the alliance. Of course if Tarik had told her how he felt earlier this book might have been a lot better.
The story just felt flat for me. It felt like the author was trying too hard to make this more interesting than the first book and in the process failing miserably. All the plot twists didn’t even grab my attention it was just “oh, she’s been kidnapped” I just failed to connect with this book even though I wanted to, really badly.
There were way too many time jumps so maybe that’s why everything big that happened in this book wasn’t that effective. There was no build up to it, it was just bam! and Sethos is in love. This was all just ridiculous.
Bottom line is this book is nothing like the first. Nemesis was a cute love story with a few obstacles sprinkled on top to keep things interesting. This book was nothing like that. This was just insanity and I did not enjoy it at all.
