review 1: This was so intense and at the same time beautiful.... Whatever it was between Miller and Rho was just too electric. I loved it . The way she told the story , in the midst of all that rape and torture, she still made it that I couldn't hate Miller... That's genius and not easy to go about. Halfway through the book, you'll find yourself rooting for Miller hoping he breaks Rho and at the same time hoping he doesn't... I loved that it had a happy ending which was just perfect because nothing else could have worked for either of them... MUST READ.
review 2: Oh, my. What an awful, lovely, terrible, stark, delicate little thing. It reminds me a bit of R.M. Meluch, who's one of my favorite SFF writers. The ability to portray the humanity remaining within a monster
... moreis similar, and no easy task. The world building is also so unobtrusive as to be invisible, and very, very deftly handled. And while I am embarrassed to admit it, since it so brutal, it is strongly erotic indeed. There's nothing she doesn't get right in this one. less

Brutal, intense, sublime, and romantic. All around, unexpected.
