Better Late Than Never’s Top Posts of 2017

Hello and Happy New Year! After an unplanned hiatus during the month of December, Better Late Than Never is back for 2018. What more natural way to start a new year than to reflect on the past? I am sharing the top posts of 2017 as measured by view count. Based on the list below, it looks like you all enjoy my more personal posts and partnership posts the most! I look forward to continuing these in 2018. What else would you like to see? Cheers!

10. My Favorite Posts of August

Why I Love This Post: I always “favorited” posts from other bloggers just for them to go into an endless hole of loved content. When I had the idea to share these with my own readers, it gave me a chance to remember and react on what I had read the past month. I even bought the dress from the photo above because of this reminder! I continue to plan these monthly shares throughout 2018.

9. How To: Get Out of a Wardrobe Rut

Why I Love This Post: I am officially deeming January the month of nothing to wear. Seriously, the new year hits and looking in your closet just brings a blah. Thank goodness for Christmas clothes and major sales for getting us through these dark times (insert emoji praise hands here). This post is a simple reminder that purging and inspiration are necessary for the new year.

8. 4 Work Approved Cold Weather Outfits

Why I Love This Post: Blogger partnerships are some of my favorite posts. I don’t do many, but when I do, I am so honored to have the exposure and use my creativity to publish a post that isn’t so “in your face” branded. This one was one of my better integrated content posts with Aurate New York and I am proud of how it turned out!

7. Give It To Me Straight

Why I Love This Post: I had never heard of reviews.com before until this post. Since then, it has become a consistent source for big purchases! This was also one of my posts with the most comments. What I learned in 2017: The blogging world loves a beauty post.

6. Two Weeks in Thailand

Why I Love This Post: It is hard to condense such a large trip into a simple post. Honestly, the reason I love this one so much is that it is a reminder of that time I up and quit my job (without another one lined up), spent two weeks in Thailand, immediately moved back to my hometown upon the return, and everything turned out for the better. God is good!

5. How To: Pass the NC Real Estate Exam

Why I Love This Post: Nothing makes you more proud that doing something for yourself. Not for a specific purpose, not because you have to, not because it’s the right thing to do – just doing it. I didn’t take the NC Real Estate Exam to go into real estate, nor did I take it because someone told me to or because everyone else was doing it. I dedicated two months of weekends because it was something I wanted to do and I am proud of myself for accomplishing one of the hardest state exams in the nation!

4. Spend VS Save: Furniture Edition

Why I Love This Post: Spend VS Save posts are as good for me as I hope they are for my readers. Everyone likes to save a little money and when that savings looks like million bucks, there’s not much to hate. I should do more of these in 2018….right?

3. New Look, Who Dis?

Why I Love This Post: The old Better Late Than Never looked a little cliche. The new look may not be everything I want it to be, but it’s definitely a step in the right direction!

2. A Letter To My Niece

Why I Love This Post: This was a pretty raw post, one I didn’t plan on doing until about 10 minutes before I actually did it. Sometimes, those are the best, most genuine ones. I can’t wait until she’s old enough to read it.

1. More

Why I Love This Post: Short and simple, yet memorable. These thoughts stuck with me throughout 2017. It means a lot that these more personable posts are the ones that resonate with my readers!
