Review:

Out of Heart is a very poignant and strong story about grief, friendship and family. This book is a little hard for me to rate as I wasn’t able to finish it despite wanting to really like it. I felt that most of the characters needed more fleshing out.

Adam was an interesting main character as he loves to draw and write words that inspire him in his sketches. Despite the unlikely friendship between Adam and William, I liked how they actually grew to like each other as the book progressed and finally open up to one another about their personal struggles and family lives.

The supporting characters such as Adam’s family was one that I found myself feeling for as they had just lost an important family member-the Grandpa to illness. However, I feel that this is a great book for those dealing with relationship and grief as it really brings new perspective into life and death.

Thank you to Pansing Books for sending me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
