review 1: A soothing but sad novel about reaching the end of life and the particular sadness of aging. The characters raising the question of whether whether losing touch with reality is better or worse than your body failing you while knowing exactly what you used to be able to do. As a Raleigh resident, I enjoyed the local touches.I thought the maternal narration was well done & never would have thought this was written by a man.
