MY REVIEW:
4 of 5 stars to Shadow Lover by Anne Stuart ★★★★ Old-fashioned romance always seems a tad bit better than contemporaries mainly because the romance arc is properly drawn out, the plot usually more compelling and the chemistry of the leads are never forced.Shadow Lover delivered in all aspects. The mystery was intriguing enough to keep readers flipping through page after page. While it wasn’t a mystery any non-forgiving elitist reader would rave about, it was still decent.
The main characters’ personalities are a tried and tested formula–self-assured and enigmatic hero; aloof and regal heroine–that everyone can love. This is the kind of novel that one could easily reread over again but would never get tired of.
***cover art: 3/5 stars. The design is decent and most importantly, it reflects the story’s mysterious appeal.*** Advertisements Share this:
