This was exactly what I was expecting: chic-lit through and through. There were lots of wonderful moments, and I though Nan was an engaging lead. In fact, all of the characters were so distinct and real–I really enjoyed each and every one of them. If I could, I’ve give it 3.5 stars. I initially thought it would be a 4-star review, but the ending left much to be desired. There was very little satisfaction for me as the reader, and I wish I could have gotten some more closure. Instead, I was left on this rage-high from all the shit Nan has had to put up with, and then, BAM, the book is done.
But I’d recommend it. It’s a fast read, enjoyable, and will definitely make you smile.
And want to rip your hair out. And empathize with the lead: we’ve all had horrible bosses.
