Brooklyn Bridge

What is it?

The Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridge of the USA. It connects, over the East River, the shores of Manhattan and Brooklyn. It needed 14 years of construction and was finally open to public in 1883. There’s two levels on the bridge: the lower one is for vehicles and the upper one, in the middle, is for bikes, Rollerblades and pedestrians, who shares two very distinct lanes.

What do we do there?
On foot, on a bike or rollerblading, we can cross the two kilometers separating the shores or just walk to the first structure to get a great point of view on Manhattan and admire the impressive architecture of that bridge that, let’s not forget it, will soon celebrate its 140 years! By car, you can brave the heavy traffic to be able to say that once in your life, you drove the Brooklyn Bridge! You have to enjoy it, it’s free!

Bottom line

The Brooklyn Bridge is one of the must-do attractions in New York. It’s as unavoidable as Statue of Liberty, Central Park and Times Square. Must see, if not to walk on it, at least pass nearby to admire.
