review 1: I'm not into this. This is too weird for me. This should be m/m. Not m/m/f. It's too weird. The three of them falling in love with each other.. It makes me uncomfortable. This is such a waste. I'm disappointed with this book.Even if the sex is hot (especially with Braden and rodrigo) I don't like it with the girl in the picture. I love Abby. She's a good girl. But I wasn't in love with her while reading it. I tend to have possessive tendencies and I want her out of the picture. Permanent ménage is NOT my thing.
review 2: Abby is attracted to Braden and Rodrigo. Braden is attracted to Abby and Rodrigo. Rodrigo is attracted to Braden and Abby. Problem: Abby can’t pick one, Rodrigo isn’t gay (or bi) and Braden is the only one who can see a relationship wi
... moreth two men and one woman as a viable option. The first part of the book is resolving the sexual tension between all three characters and laying the background for the “mystery” part of the story. The second part is mainly exploring the sexual part of a triad relationship (where all partners interact with one another) and furthering the mystery. The third part is about making the relationship more permanent and solving the mystery. You don’t have to read book one to read this book though there are recurring characters. The glimpse of these guys we see in book one doesn’t add much to this story. As I mentioned in my review of book one, there is much to love and some to despair in a Cameron Dane book. The sexual tension is excellent and watching Rodrigo come to grips with his first male crush was really done well. Braden’s character seems to hold all the cards here, being a bi-sexual who has craved a triad relationship, but he doesn’t lord this over the others and really lets them come to their own decisions.Unfortunately I never liked Abby’s character. She was either whiny or abrasive and I didn’t really feel motivated to root for her much. I also found some of Dane’s terminology off-putting (as mentioned in my review of book one) and that would sometimes yank me out of the story.I did really like the end result and felt that all three characters really did benefit from having the other two in the relationship, it was an equal triad in that sense.Overall I thought it was an okay book, some parts better than others and if the m/m/f aspect puts you off, you can feel comfortable skipping this book without losing anything in the series as a whole. It’s a long book, filled with a lot of sex and the mystery takes up a big chunk of the story as well. Tighter editing could have improved this story for me.I give this a 3.5 of 5 hearts. less
