We’re getting spooky at Bloomsbury Reader as we draw closer to All Hallow’s Eve. To celebrate some of the spine-chilling horror on our list, we have teamed up with Horror Lounge from 25-31 October, a new virtual festival celebrating all things horror, both classic and contemporary.
As part of Horror Lounge, all of our Graham Masterton books are on sale for a limited time at £1.99. A renowned horror writer, Masterton was awarded the Edgar award by the Mystery Writers of America for Charnel House and a silver medal by the West Coast Review of Books for Mirror. As well as being a bestselling author of over seventy books, Wheatley was a member of the London Controlling Section during WW2, which secretly coordinated strategic military deception and cover plans. He wrote numerous papers for the War Office, including suggestions for dealing with a German invasion of Britain. His flair for invention influenced his war-work, and, after his dalliance with espionage, his war work no doubt influenced his fiction.
