So, the new book from the bestselling author Chris Bradford is out, this time from his relatively new series: Bodyguard. But, is it any good? The overview is Teenage bodyguard Connor Reeves faces his deadliest assignment yet. In a country governed by criminals, he must protect Feliks, the only son of Russian billionaire and politician, Viktor Malkov.
Viktor wants to change Russia for the good of all its people. But the mafia have different plans and a contract is out for the billionaire’s life. With Feliks being the one chink in his father’s armour, Connor must join forces with his rival Jason to act as a bulletproof shield against blackmail, assassination and kidnapping.
This is a disaster for Connor, as it is more of a contest than an assignment for Jason and he has just broken up with his colleague, Ling. Then a new girl called Anastasia goes to school with Feliks, Jason takes a liking to her. But is she all she appears to be?
In my opinion, Chris has created excellent characters in Connor and Jason. At some times the plot pulls on your heartstrings, as it did to me and since I found myself getting attached to the characters the more you get to know them. Prepare for the most heart-pounding, suspenseful, everything you want it to be, as last few pages revealing the plot more and more.
In conclusion, prepare for rigorous action throughout every page and I would choose this if you are itching for the latest action thriller book and like Chris Bradford.
