This is the first book in K.F. Breene’s new series Finding Paradise and what an amazing book it is. I inhaled it, it was so fast, intense and interesting. The story is fabulously written and characters are well developed and complex. There were times when I felt my head is spinning, the action was so fast and well written.
I loved the characters. Millicent is a super intelligent calculated weapons engineer and Ryker is equally intelligent security director. There is Trent, not super intelligent, but highly lovable person in charge of breeding programme. There is little Marie, who I can’t wait to see in the next book. The dialogues between characters, their bonding and the growth of their relationships are beautifully written and described and little games between Millicent and Ryker are hilarious.
The story is set in dystopian world where space travel is possible, and Earth devastated by overpopulation and overuse of resources. K.F. Breen’s inventiveness and imagination are impressive. Normally, I am not a fan of this kind of setting but the way K.F. Breene set this novel had me hooked since page 1. I had to admit I did not like the description of the book and the only reason I purchased it was K.F. Breene. And I am glad I did because I loved everything about it and I highly recommend it. I cannot wait for the second book.
