Despite it’s lower rating compared to the other books in the series, keep in mind that it only has a fraction of reviewers compared to the other books as well.

MY THOUGHTS:
Fire in You is the last book in J. Lynn’s Wait For You series. It involves two of the least included characters in the entire series, but the story is redeeming and gives hope to readers who may be considering or wishing for a “second chance” romance with a past lover or friend.
Who are the main characters? Brock and Jillian. There’s a minor age difference between the two and a bit of animosity from Jillian in the beginning, but you’ll quickly understand why.
Jillian has been in love with Brock since the beginning. However, she was an awkward kid and he was older than her and a celebrity boxer. After an accident that leaves her scarred, she is no longer shy and she lives each moment like it may be her last.
Brock suffers an injury that almost takes away his career. When Jillian gets into an accidents and comes back home, he realizes that the feelings he has for her may not be brotherly like he has always thought.
While this is not necessarily a “second chance” romance, in that Brock never felt romantic towards Jillian, it is a second chance for her. I love the way Brock looks past Jillian’s scars. I love how he refuses to go away when she tells him to. I love how he admits to being stupid and blind for most of their lives, and how he never stops going after her and what he wants.
Brock is HILARIOUS. He’s super “manly jealous,” especially when he comes across Jillian on a date. I tend to love male characters that are not ashamed nor shy when it comes to other men trying to move in on “their” women. Brock does not disappoint. And watching the love blossom between Brock and Jillian is amazing. To see this girl who’s been crazy in love with this boy finally have her dreams coming true, especially after such a horrid accident, is very heartwarming. I often found myself sighing and smiling into the dark as I watched this story unfold.

Fire in You is a wonderful conclusion to the Wait For You series by J. Lynn. This series is by far my absolute bookverse of any series I have ever read. It’s not too long, very realistic, it has relatable characters, and is overall, a FANTASTIC romance series. Fire in You ends on a high note, by offering readers a realistic look at a second chance romance. It offers hope and redemption to life’s muck ups.
