FOREVER AND A DAY. Episode 6
Officer 1: “I have a few more questions…for your own sake, please answer truthfully”
I bob my head in response.
He reaches into another envelope to retrieve what appears to be a tablet.
Officer 1: “after going through your wife’s phone for investigation purposes of course, it appears there had been some level of communication between her and your mistress for some time. Were you aware of this?”
Mehn these guys are thorough!
Anthony: “yes…I was”
Officer 1: “did you know what was being discussed?”
Anthony: “yes…the health and safety of Evon…my mistress”
Officer 1: “health and safety? Why would your wife be concerned with that?”
Sigh.
Anthony: “…because Evon…is carrying my child”
Officer 2: “so you be striker!”
He smacks the side of my head, hard enough to send me flying to the ground. Seconds later he pulls both me and my chair back in position.
That really was unnecessary!
Officer 1: “whose idea was it to keep the child?”
Anthony: “Evon’s. She demanded I marry her”
Officer 1: “your wife became aware of this, how?”
Anthony: “she contacted my wife, I don’t know how she did.”
Officer 1: and somehow your wife was receptive to this news?
Anthony: “no…not immediately because she also threatened my wife. And so my wife didn’t speak to me for days and then_
May: “Tony? We need to talk”
Please don’t say you want a divorce! God please!
I settle into a chair facing her, holding my knees to keep my hands from trembling.
May: “to say that your actions are not heart-wrenching would be me lying…”
Anthony: “I know I screwed up really bad, I-“
She holds up her hand.
May: “hear me out first…if this were just a matter of infidelity, I would say get rid of her but its not. There’s an innocent child involved and considering we’ve been trying for one, I think this is God’s answer.”
Anthony: “I don’t understand. How can you say this is God’s answer when its tearing you…us apart?!”
May: “we are keeping this child and your mistress is henceforth part of this family. The earlier we accept that, the better for all parties involved.”
Rising to my feet…
Anthony: “that is not happening! I will not marry a second wife!”
May: “you should have considered that when you let your dick roam around! You have no say in this! I’d suggest you begin to make financial preparations for the baby’s arrival…oh and also for when you break the news to my family.”
This is spinning out of control!
