review 1: I definitely enjoyed the audiobook (though, as is often the case, it's hard to say how I'd feel about reading it) and would recommend it to ... someone? I'm not sure if I would have liked it as a kid, but I found the way he presents the mythological elements very appealing to who I am now. As a historical fiction inspired by apocalyptic mythology and involving fairly emotionally realistic reactions to yucky historical realities, I think it works quite well.
