I Am Created

Shew (deep breath)… I can remember the years I spent pondering this.

Asking myself the question, “Sarah, why are you created?” I would love to tell you that that question was quickly and easily answered. For me, those nagging thoughts came early in life as to why I should dare dream that I was created for more. You’ll never fit in with that crowd of people, says the familiar voice of rejection. What a punch in the face. Or, Your family is broken apart but all your friends have a nuclear (traditional) family. You have no use! Another fastball my way. The list of thoughts that flooded my mind could go for days. And they did. Years is more like it. Until the day I took off the lens I’d been wearing and chose to put on the lens of God, to see myself the way He sees me. To believe that no matter the pieces of my life that I so often view as broken and of no use, He sees differently. After all, isn’t it He that makes beauty out of everything? Surely He can make beauty out of me.

“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works: my soul knows it very well.” Psalm 139:14

The truth is we were all created for more. We are His chosen ones. We all have purpose! Yes, that means YOU too! We were not put on this earth to merely exist but to find out why. So if you’re reading this, I encourage you. Matter of fact, I challenge you to take the step towards God and prayerfully ask Him to show you, your Why. It will be a journey worth traveling.
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10
 You are created for purpose!

Because you are what God says that you are!  You are enough!
