The story follows fifth graders Libby Deaton, an outgoing artist, and May Harper, the introverted writer, as they create Princess X. She is no ordinary princess, Princess X fights ghosts, monsters, and “other creepazoids” with her katana, a nod to Libby’s Asian heritage. Suddenly Libby and her mother die in a car crash and all is lost to May. Years later May stumbles upon a sticker, a sticker of Princess X! Could Libby be alive? Who is creating the webcomics? What actually happened that rainy night all those years ago?
