It is obvious that this months ipsy bag was centered around New Years Resolutions. The blue mesh, and vibrant uplifting accents resembles that of a gym bag. Although I am feeling the positive vibes radiating off of the neon colors, I wasn’t all too thrilled with the design of the bag because I’m not a huge fan of mesh. Ipsy hit the nail on the head with this design though, because gyms see an influx of memberships at the start of January.

Global beauty care – charcoal wash-off mask: This was my favorite product this month. I was home with my four year old daughter, so I DIY’d a kid friendly mud mask and we spent the morning pampering ourselves. The application went out smoothly and felt nice. I was surprised with how easily it was to take it off and it left my face feeling soft!
Caviar CC Cream – 10-in-one: I ended up using this leave-in hair perfector in my daughters hair. The smell is amazing, and it left her hair feeling silky smooth. I am not a big fan of leave in treatments because I don’t like my hair feeling greasy, but this was very nice.
Hola neon – velvet liquid lipstick: So disappointed in this one and it was the one I was most looking forward to. The color is absolutely gorgeous but the application is terrible! It goes on creamy but it doesn’t stay, leaving your lips looking patchy and uneven. On a positive note, I have at least found a new lip color.
Mary-Lou Manizer AKA “the luminizer”: this is a light highlighter that can also be used as an eye shadow. I gravitate towards a more natural look so this is perfect for me.
Ciate London – fierce flicks: I don’t wear eye-liner so I don’t feel comfortable giving an accurate review!
I already knew what I was getting for products in my bag because ipsy gives you the option to sneak a peak if you share it to your social media account (which I immediately remove from my timeline haha). Ipsy is a fun monthly subscription but I feel like I have been unhappier with each month that follows. I am hoping that next months bag is a bit more exciting. If not, I plan to find another monthly subscription because these reviews are fun!
