review 1: I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. I was expecting just another book about a girl who goes from unpopular to popular. But the author throws in a twist by featuring an unpopular girl who lands in a parallel universe where life is everything she has been wishing for. I thought it was especially good for high school readers because it deals with the very common teenage wish to be someone else or have a different life. I liked the way it dealt with this issue, and the story was interesting as well.
review 2: Oh wow, not at all what I was expecting! I thought this was going to be a Gossip-Girl type glamorization of rich and popular kids. It was so cool that, in a way, it was the exact opposite. The story was much more accessible/relatable in the
... more way it was presented. Still iffy on the physics stuff, but I can forgive it for the overall storytelling. I read this book because the author visited Pittsburgh, where I was living at the time I first heard of it. It was really cool to be able to pick up on and understand all the Pittsburgh references! Cute read. less
